A elderly woman who went missing from the Glenamaddy area yesterday has been found safe after a massive search.
Mary Keaveney, who is in her 90s and has dementia, was reported missing around 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
A massive search operation took place throughout the day, with more than 100 local volunteers working alongside Gardaí, Civil Defence Units, and the Coast Guard.
She was found at approximately 2am this morning, by search dogs Fionn and Roonie from the Galway Dog Search and Rescue Unit.
The search groups located the missing woman close to her home in the area.
