A special fundraising event with afternoon tea and country music entertainment will take place at the g Hotel in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Sponsored by Tom Doyle Motors, the fun kicks off at 3pm on on Sunday, 23 October, with a reception in the grand salon followed by an afternoon tea of delicious treats in the g Hotel’s function room.

The highlight of the day will be a performance from singer-songwriter, Marc Roberts, who came second for Ireland in the 1997 Eurovision.

Marc’s career has gone from strength to strength since then, with his most recent album ‘A tribute to the music of John Denver’ going to number one in the country charts, and he also has his own popular weekend radio shows.

The charity afternoon promises to be a real treat filled with fun, music and good food with raffles held throughout.

Guests are sure to be lucky with a prize for each table and the evening will be complete with bluegrass tunes from local group, Take Two.

The National Breast Cancer Research Institute thanked the event’s main sponsor, Tom Doyle Motors, for helping to make the whole event possible.

Proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute research team based at the Lambe Institute, NUI Galway.

Tickets are €50 each but are limited. They are available now at teaattheg.ie
