Still just four people in Galway hospitals with Covid

Just four people with Covid-19 are in hospital in Galway today, according to the latest HSE data.

The four patients are at University Hospital Galway, and none of the four people are in intensive care.

At Portiuncula there are no patients who have been diagnosed with the disease.

Limerick University Hospital, Letterkenny University Hospital and St. James’s are the three worst affected with Covid patients in the Republic.

There are 16 general beds available at GUH and 20 at Portiuncula, but there are no ICU beds available in Galway.

Across the State, there are 31 people in ICU who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, and 277 cases are hospitalised in total.

Fewer than ten cases have been reported in Galway for the past three days by the Department of Health.
