Planning permission is being sought from the city council to open a new medical centre in Ballybrit.
MyMedical Urgent Care Ltd is seeking approval for a Change of Use of an existing gym at Briarhill Shopping Centre.
The medical centre would be located in what is currently a 400sqm gym space on the second flood of second floor of the shopping centre.
Along with the official Change of Use to what is permitted there, the project would also involve a “new fit out and associated site works on the second floor”.
Galway City Council is due to decide whether to grant planning permission for this development by December 16.
