Gort NS building moves one step closer with process to appoint design team

The new Gort NS building has ‘moved a step closer’ with today’s confirmation by Minister Joe McHugh that a Design Team for the project will be appointed shortly.

That’s according to Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon, who said that because of how difficult it is for Gort NS to operate across two locations, he is in constant contact with his colleague Minister McHugh on the status of the project.

Minister Cannon said: “The Design Team will include Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Civil and Structural Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer and Project Supervisor for the Design Process and confirmation of the commencement of the appointment moves the creation of another state-of-the-art educational facility in South Galway a step closer to realisation.”
