Galway Rape Crisis Centre will host one of its most important fundraising and awareness events this month.
The annual Ladies’ Lunch, now in its third year, will be held in the Salthill Hotel on Sunday 17 November.
The elegant pre-Christmas gathering promises Prosecco, a delicious three-course lunch, a Style Workshop by Brown Thomas, as well as a raffle and auction, hosted by the inimitable Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers.
And to top it all off, the guest speaker on the day is the inspirational Ailbhe Griffith, survivor and national advocate of the cause.
Funds raised through this event will help support the provision of essential counselling services for survivors of rape and sexual abuse throughout Galway City and County.
Speaking about the event, Cathy Connolly, Executive Director of Galway RCC said: “The Annual Ladies’ Lunch has become a very important event for the organisation.
“It affords us an opportunity to highlight our services and to meet with some of our supporters.
“This year’s event is a particularly special one, with the incredible Ailbhe Griffith sharing her story as our guest speaker.”
Tickets cost €65 and can be purchased through Eventbrite.
