Galway rail service disruptions this Bank Holiday Weekend

The rail service between Galway and Heuston will see several cancellations or other disruptions this Bank Holiday Weekend.

The rail service is being disrupted by line improvement works Irish Rail are carrying out between Sallins and Newbridge today and on Sunday.

Bus transfers will operate for all services travelling to and from Heuston Station over on May 4 & 5, and a number of services will be cancelled on the Galway and Westport lines.

On Saturday, the 6:30pm service from Dublin to Galway is cancelled.

While on Sunday the 3:45pm Westport to Dublin, 5pm Galway to Dublin, and 8:30pm Dublin to Galway services have also been cancelled.

Irish Rail is advising people travelling by rail this weekend to consult their journey planner to make sure that their train is running.
