Catherine Clancy from Oughterard has collected the keys of her brand-new Toyota Yaris at Galway Hospice after winning the first prize in the hospice’s car raffle.

The second prize, which was a family holiday for four to France sponsored by Keller Travel Ballinasloe, went to Joanne Flaherty from Ballybane.

The third prize of afternoon tea at the G Hotel two was won by Regina Birrane from Knocknacarra and the seller’s prize of 250 cash was won by Kay Grealish from Oranmore.

This year’s car raffle was launched in April and has raised vital funds which will be used to keep services running at the hospice.

The Hospice described support for the car raffle as ‘truly overwhelming’, and they extended their gratitude to everyone in Galway and beyond who supported the fundraiser by purchasing tickets.
