Ask the experts your questions about diabetes at this workshop in Galway city next week.
Diabetes Ireland is organising a roundtable workshop with four experts in different fields of study to demystify the condition.
On the night each expert will give a five minute speech on their topic and then spend 15 minutes going round for Q&A sessions with people in attendance.
Professor Sean Dineen is a consultant endocrinologist who will be discussing – ‘Medical Management of Diabetes’.
Ms Ciara Heverin is a Senior Dietician who will be speaking about the ‘Lastest Dietary Guidelines for Managing Diabetes’.
Brita Jordan is nurse and diabetic specialist. Her talk is on – ‘Understanding your Numbers; Why Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and Glucose Levels are so Important’.
And lastly Senior Podiatrist Ms Emma Hynes will talk about ‘Tips for Self-Management of your Feet’.
This workshop is taking place at the Connacht Hotel from 7:30 – 9:30pm on Thursday, February 28.
