Roadworks on the N65 expected to take four weeks to complete have gotten underway this week.

Work resumed Thursday on roadworks on the N65 at the approach to Kilmeen Cross, with works taking place at the junction for the turnoff for Portumna.

Watermain works have already been completed, and the work taking place now includes milling out and reinstating the road surface.

It is expected that this will take four weeks to complete.

A traffic management plan will be in place using flagmen and a Stop/Go system while work is underway each day.
