Four day roadworks to disrupt Craughwell traffic

Galway Daily news Some traffic disruption is expected at the Galway-Roscommon county line today near Mountbellew due to roadworks taking place

Traffic in the Craughwell area will be disrupted by four days of roadworks taking place next week.

Galway County Council has ordered resurfacing overlay roadworks on the R446 at Lecarrow, Craughwell which will get underway on Tuesday and are expected to last four days.

“In order to facilitate these works a Stop/Go temporary traffic management system will be in operation on the section of the R446 in question between the hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm on Tuesday, August 6 2019 through to Friday, August 9”

“As a conseqsence users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys,” a spokesperson for the county council said.

The contract for these works has been awarded to Lagan Asphalt Ltd.
