The recycling centre at the Galway City Civic Amenity Site is due to reopen next Tuesday, December 1 the city council has said.
The recycling centre has been closed since early October, when Galway was placed under Level 3 COVID-19 restriction.
It was initially planned to only stay closed for three weeks, but the country then moved up to Level 5 lockdown, forcing further closure.

- Monday – Thursday: 10:00am – 3:30pm
- Friday: 10:00am – 3pm
- Saturday: 8:15am – 12:30pm
The centre is to remain closed on Sundays for the time being.
A one way system is in place, with additional signage to direct customers. This service is for city householders only, and no commercial use is permitted.
The Galway City Council Civic Amenity site will re-open from next Tuesday, 1st December 2020.
The initial opening hours of the facility are:
Monday – Thursday: 10.00am to 3.30pm
Friday: 10.00am to 3.00pm
