Emergency repair money for Craughwell NS welcomed

The allocation of funding for emergency repair works on Craughwell National School has been welcomed.

Craughwell NS has been allocated funding by the department of education for roof repairs under the Emergency Works measures.

Galway East TD Seán Canney said that the roof repairs being undertaken are “essential to keep the school protected at all times.”

“Craughwell National School is also awaiting approval to go to tender for a major expansion Deputy Canney said, adding that he has lobbying for this work and met with both the Design Team and Board of Management this year.

The Emergency Works Scheme exists to give urgent funding to schools with a situation that requires immediate attention.
