Emergency funding granted to Ballinderreen National School

Emergency Funding has been granted to Ballinderreen National School for additional special needs toilet facilities.

The Kilcolgan area national school has been allocated funding by the Department of Education and Skills’ Building Unit.

“The catchment area for the school has grown and it urgently requires special needs toilet facilities,” Galway East TD Seán Canney said, welcoming the news.

He added that schools in east Galway need “top class educational provision” and thanked Education Minister Joe McHugh.

“The amount of funding granted is not released by the Department so as not to prejudice the tendering process for works,” Deputy Canney said.

He added that “The school will be informed privately of the amount of funding in the coming days.”
