A cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Galway City this morning.
Gardaà and emergency services attended the scene of a crash on the Circular Road on Monday morning.
The crash, involving a van and a bicycle took place at approximately 7:40am this morning.
The male cyclist was taken to University Hospital Galway to be treated for serious injuries.
However, An Garda SÃochána have said that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
The road was closed and has since reopened. Investigations are ongoing.
