Man charged in connection with Ballybane stabbing

A man in his 40s has been charged and is due to appear in court today in connection with a stabbing incident in Ballybane.

Gardaí were called to the scene of a stabbing in Ballybane at approximately 4pm on Sunday.

They found a man in his 40s with an apparent stab wound.

The injured man was brought to University Hospital Galway for treatment.

After numerous gardaí units patrolled the area immediately afterwards, another man in his 40s was arrested and brought to Galway Garda Station.

He has since been charged in connection with this incident, and is due to appear before Galway District Court this morning.
