Hospitals update: No COVID cases in ICU in Galway

There are no confirmed cases of Covid-19 in ICU at Galway hospitals, according the latest data from the HSE.

The update shows that there are ten people with the virus in University Hospital Galway and four in Portiuncula.

There are also five suspected cases across the hospitals – four in UHG and one in Ballinasloe.

At GUH, there are 30 beds available and one ICU bed.

In hospitals across the Republic, there are now 38 people with COVID in ICU as well as 12 suspected cases. There are just 34 ICU beds available.

The HSE’s Daily Operations Update was updated at 8.00pm yesterday, Friday 23 October.
