There have been a further 12,875 cases of COVID-19 cases in total reported by health officials today.
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has notified a further 6,061 PCR-confirmed cases of the disease today.
Another 6,814 positive antigen tests registered through the HSE portal have also been reported today.
As of this morning there were 610 people hospitalised with COVID-19 in Ireland, of whom 63 are in the ICU.

A total of 2,713,302 booster vaccine doses have been administered as of yesterday, with 4,489 jabs given on Wednesday alone.
