COVID-19: 443 new cases, 13 in the ICU

There have been a further 443 new cases of COVID-19 reported by the Department of Health today.

There are 43 patients hospitalised with COVID-19 in Ireland, of whom 13 are in the Intensive Care Unit.

County breakdowns of the daily case numbers remain unavailable.

These numbers may change in the future after data review and validation takes place.

Concerns have been mounting that a further easing of restrictions might be pushed back by the government, in particular the resumption of indoor dining on July 5.

NPHET has raised concerns about the Delta variant taking hold in Ireland, but no firm decision has been made yet.
