There have been a further 2,549 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported by the Department of Health today.
As of Friday morning there were 481 people in Ireland admitted to hospital with COVID.
Of these patients, 97 are being treated in intensive care units in serious condition.

In the past week there have been 144,604 tests carried out in the state, with 11% of them returning positive results.
Up to Thursday there had been 7,321,145 doses of vaccine administered in the state, with 3,747,419 people fully vaccinated.
