A further 11,683 cases of COVID-19 reported by the Department of Health today from PCR and Antigen tests.
There have been 5,767 PCR-confirmed cases notified by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
A further 5,916 registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
As of this morning there were 979 people in the country hospitalised with COVID, of whom 93 are in the ICU.
The cabinet is reportedly considering meeting this week to approve the lifting of public health restrictions.
