COVID-19: Three cases being treated at Galway hospitals

There are three patients being treated for COVID-19 in Galway hospitals in the latest figures from the HSE.

As of 8pm on Monday there were two confirmed cases at UHG, both of whom were in the ICU.

This is down again from three cases at UHG yesterday, and a third of the number seen last week.

There is one confirmed case of COVID-19 at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.

A further three suspected cases were also reported at University Hospital Galway, for which test results were awaited.

Nationwide there were 104 people hospitalised with COVID-19 as of Monday evening, of whom 31 were in the ICU.

Another 11 new cases were reported in Galway yesterday, out of 381 nationwide. No further deaths related to the disease were notified.
