A breakdown on the Headford Road just after Galway Retail Park is causing heavy traffic around the city.
The AA have said that traffic is slow from the Bodkin Junction.
Nearby, traffic is also heavy both ways on Bohermore between Cemetery Cross and Prospect Hill.
