Update: Power has since been restored to the affected properties
Almost 2,000 homes and businesses are without power in the Oranmore area today due to an outage.
An electrical fault that occurred shortly before midday is affecting 1,965 properties in the area.
The ESB is currently making repairs on the fault.
Power is expected to be restored to the affected properties around 1pm this afternoon.
