UHG is Ireland’s third most overcrowded hospital today

UHG is the third most overcrowded Hospital in Ireland today according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation with 41 people on trolleys.

There are 41 patients on trolleys in the Emergency Department and in overcrowded wards at University Hospital Galway today according to the INMO Trolley/Ward Watch.

However, a more alarming figure is that there are 24 people on trolleys at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe today, where usually there are just one or two.
