Tickets on sale for Burt Bacharach playing the 2019 Galway Arts Festival

Three time Academy Award winner and member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame Burt Bacharach is coming to Galway to play the Heineken Big Top at the Galway International Arts Festival.

Get ready to hear some of true classics as Burt Bacharach performs some of his greatest hits including ‘Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head’, ‘Wishin’ And Hopin’, and ‘Close To You’ to name just a few numbers from his incredible discography.

Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh are delighted to welcome this legend who revolutionised pop music in 1950s and 1960s with a legacy that include 48 top ten hits and nine #1 singles.

Throughout a long and storied career Burt has collaborated with some of the greatest musical legends of the twentieth century such as Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Barbra Streisand, The Carpenters, Neil Diamond, Linda Ronstadt, Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Costello and many, many more.

Lauded by Hollywood, Broadway, and just about every institution in the music industry, Mr Bacharach’s eight Grammy Awards include the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award and 1997 Trustees Award with his collaborator Hal David.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear 50 years of music crammed into one amazing concert this summer at GIAF’s marquee venue on Monday, July 22.

Tickets are now on sale for €59.50. This will be a fully seated concert with seats going on a first come first serve basis.
