US medical device company Biomerics has announced it will open a 2,000 sq. ft. centre of excellence in Galway.
The new office will be the company’s first facility in Europe, and is expected to create around 40 jobs over the next five years.
Located at 2 Liosban Business Park in Galway city, it will be equipped with multiple balloon-forming machines and state-of-the-art test equipment.
Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton said that she is delighted to welcome the company to Galway.
“This move brings with it the creation of 40 jobs providing new opportunities for people to work and live in Galway, which has a proven track record when it comes to providing a rich pool of talent with a highly skilled and educated workforce,” she said.
“Today’s announcement is a great achievement for the West of Ireland and signals a bright future for businesses across the country.”
