Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for freezing temperatures and icy conditions across Ireland tonight and Tuesday morning.
A Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning has been issued for all of Ireland from 9pm tonight until 10am morning.
Overnight cold temperatures will create icy conditions, so motorists are advised to be cautious.
Temperatures are expected to drop as low as -1 degrees in parts of Galway overnight on Monday.
Highest temperatures of 2 to 3 degrees today, with clear skies in the early afternoon with light to moderate easterly winds.
A cold weather advisory has also been issued by Met Eireann, with freezing or near-freezing conditions expected across Ireland for the coming week.
Severe frost, icy patches and fog are forecast to develop at times, creating hazardous travelling conditions.
