Met Éireann warns of localised flooding, weather warning issued for Galway

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for Galway ahead of heavy rain on Tuesday evening and overnight.

The warning comes into effect tomorrow, Tuesday, at 6.00pm and will remain in place until 12.00pm on Wednesday.

Localised flooding will occur and 25 to 40mm of rain is expected, with higher accumulations forecast in mountainous regions.

The warning also extends to Mayo, Kerry and Cork.
