Mack Hansen will be out of action for both Connacht and the Six Nations due to a shoulder injury the province has confirmed.

Connacht have released a statement today saying that Hansen will be undergoing surgery today for a dislocated shoulder.

He is expected to be out of action for the next three to four months as a result.

This will take him out of action for the remainder of the Champions Cup, as well as ruling him out of the 2024 Six Nations for Ireland.

In other news for Connacht, Cathal Forde will be unavailable for Lyon this weekend due to a shoulder injury.

He is due to be further assessed next week, and an update will be given then.

Caolin Blade is undergoing graduated RTP protocols and his availability for Lyon will be assessed later in the week.

In better news, Sean Jansen and Oisin McCormack have recovered from abdomen and hamstring injuries and are available for selection.

Continuing to rehab are Paul Boyle (face), Santiago Cordero (knee), Diarmuid Kilgallen (hamstring), Sean O’Brien (foot), Tiernan O’Halloran (foot), Colm Reilly (ankle).
