After the disappointment of their 2018 National League semi-final defeat to Dublin, Galway’s ladies footballers put their Connacht title on the line this Sunday (24th July) when they meet arch rivals Mayo.
The Tribeswomen were comprehensive 3-12 to 1-8 winners over the Green and Red in 2017 thanks to two Mairead Seoighe goals and a three-pointer for Niamh Duggan.
Tracey Leonard also chipped in with nine points and has taken over the captaincy this year. She’s glad “to be getting into championship mode” and talked to Galway Daily.
Galway meet Mayo in the 2018 Connacht Senior Ladies Football Final on Sunday, 24th June. Throw-in at MacHale Park, Castlebar is 4pm.
