Important Date for your diaries Monday July 23rd @ 7.30!pm Under 14 Final v Caltra. Venue to be decided.

Best wishes to Noelle Connolly and Galway Seniors who play Waterford next SAT 21 at 16.45 in Birr in Group 3 Championship.

Congratulations to the Galway minor ladies and their management team of Annette Clarke and Kieran Collins on winning the All-Ireland. Congratulations also to Conor Raftery and the Galway minors on becoming Connacht Champions.

Cash for clobber ongoing please leave all bags of unwanted clothes into Glenamaddy Community Center.

Under 14 Boys Sevens results.   

Match 1 – Cloonfad 3 Glen Celtic 1 – Goal scorer Gavin Hegarty.

Match 2 – Ballymoe 1 GlenCeltic 2 – Goal Scorers Gavin Hegarty and Tommie McGuire.

Under 12 Boys Sevens results. 

Match 1 – Shiven 6 Glen Celtic 1 – Goal Scorer Leo O’Connor.

Second match – Kilkerrin 3 Glen Celtic 5 – Goal Scorers Dylan Joyce 3, Kaylum Divilly 1 and 1 og.

Our U9 boys played Lough Harps on Sunday in Glenamaddy.  The Europa team played some very nice football and scored lots of goals. Gary Hegarty had a brilliant game clearing anything that came his way. Goal scorers Jack Giblin, Eli Clarke and Jayden Joyce.

Team: Sam Parsons, Gary Hegarty, Jayden Joyce, Jack Giblin, Eli Clarke.

The Champions team played against a very strong Lough harps team. Good football was played at times with a few goals scored also. Goal scorers Connor Brennan and Alex Dolan. Team: Tommy Parsons, Jack Brosnan, Patrick O’Hagan, Nathan Regan, Conor Brennan, Philip Donlon, Alex Dolan.

Glen Celtic will host an U8 Girls Blitz on Saturday next at 11:00.  All help on the day will be appreciated as we welcome a number of Girls teams to Glenamaddy.

The Club will hold our AGM on Monday night 29th July starting at 9pm in the Vocational School in Glenamaddy.  All parents and adult players are welcome to attend.

KILKERRIN UNITED 

U12 girls defeated Castlerea Celtic 3-0 with goals from Niamh Feeney (2) & an own goal.

U12 boys lost out 8-3 to Shiven Rovers & 6-3 to Glen Celtic. Luke Walsh, Cathal Lee, Enda Keane, Conal Divilly & Daniel Stephens were all on target for Kilkerrin.

U14 boys drew 2-2 with Ballinagare FC with Tomás Miskell & Oisín Keane scoring and defeated Skyvalley Rovers 4-1 with Darragh Lyons netting all four goals.

U16 boys lost out 4-1 to Moore United & 2-1 to Skyvalley Rovers with Cian Carton & Ciarán Lee getting the Kilkerrin goals.

Kilkerrin United Celebratory Social will take place on Friday 27th July in the Ard Rí Hotel, Tuam. Tickets are €25 and are on sale from the Village Inn, Kilkerrin. Dinner will be served at 7:30pm, music by DJ Ollie and there will be a medal presentation on the night.

Sympathies are extended to Kilkerrin United player Ciara, to MWGL fixtures secretary, Gabriel & all the Martin family on the untimely passing of Gabriel’s brother Niall Martin, Roscommon last week. May he rest in peace.
