Connacht Rugby and the Connacht Hotel – a partnership made in rugby heaven

As the Connacht Hotel has been celebrating its 50th anniversary throughout this year, the storied Galway hotel is also renewing its partnership with Connacht Rugby.

In half a century of history the Connacht Hotel has been at the forefront of changing trends in the tourism industry in the west, staying much loved in the eyes of travellers and the locals alike with a commitment to its customers and the community in Galway.

Similarly, Connacht Rugby has an unrivalled tradition of supporting the community, a devoted fan base, and teamwork at its core.

These shared values are what have made their partnership work so well, with the Connacht Hotel serving as a sponsor and the official accommodation partner for Connacht Rugby.

We are delighted to continue our sponsorship with Connacht Rugby for what promises to be another very exciting season,” said General Manager of the Connacht Hotel Wayne Nellion.

“As the official accommodation partner, the success of the Connacht Rugby team has been tremendous for our business and for the region as a whole, and we are delighted to be a part of their story.”

“Having a successful professional rugby side in the province is a major boost in countless ways and we truly look at our arrangement with Connacht Rugby as a partnership and the team at Connacht Rugby as our friends.”

Throughout the 2019/2020 Guinness PRO14 rugby season and beyond the Connacht Hotel will be the port of call for many teams and their fans coming from around Europe to watch their team play at the Sportsground, and enjoy Galway while they’re in town.

But its not just overseas visitors who are filling its rooms, as hundreds of fans from around the province will also be stopping by to support the boys in green.

Their proximity to the Sportsground coupled with their warm welcome and excellent facilities and
passion for the game make it the only choice for Rugby fans.
