Woozza Wood Fired Pizza has been chosen as a finalist in the Food Awards Ireland 2018.
The popular Galway pizzeria will compete in the ‘Takeaway of the Year’ category alongside Camile Thai.
Food Awards Ireland 2018 will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin, on Monday 12 November.
Wooza, located on 14 Sea Road in the heart of Galway’s West End, is the only pizzeria in Galway that has its origins in the ‘pizza capital’ of Italy – Napoli.
Their artisan pizzas, made in their wood fired oven, are created using fresh ingredients, imported from Italy along with the finest type 00 flour called Caputo.
The 2.5 tonne wood fired pizza was also imported from Italy, and the restaurant’s Head Chef Piotro is from Napoli, which adds to the restaurant’s Italian feel.
The Food Awards Ireland are on their third year and were created to acknowledge the best servers, suppliers, producers and chefs among others that contribute to making the food industry as palatable as possible.
