Several towns across Galway are experiencing water outages today due to burst mains and technical issues with a reservoir and treatment plant.
Work is underway to restore the water supply to Gort & Loughrea following today following overnight issues at the Seefin Reservoir and Gort water treatment plant.
Multiple areas in Athenry are also experiencing water outages today following a serious burst mains at Seefin, Athenry.
This is disrupting the water supply to Raheen Road, Moanbaun GWS, Prospect & Derrydonnell Road.
The county council has said that a contractor is on route to carry out repair works.
