Children attending Knocknacarra National School, and all pedestrians in the area, will benefit from upgrades to the pathway outside the school.
Galway City Council is upgrading the footpath adjacent to t John Apostle National School on the Western Distributor Road next month.
These public realm upgrades to the path outside the Knocknacarra primary school are part of the council’s Active Travel projects.
As part of the path upgrade, access may be limited at times throughout August, to facilitate the works.
The city council has said that they intend to keep the time that the laneway might be closed to a minimum.
That said, some local diversions might be in place while the upgrade works are taking place, and will be signposted accordingly.
