Tuam bypass closing for maintenance roadworks this week

The N17 Tuam Bypass will be closing overnight for two days this week for maintenance roadworks.

Galway County Council has said that contractors CRJV will be closing the bypass between its junctions with the with the N83 at either end on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland in order to facilitate roadworks.

The closure will be in effect from 8pm on Wednesday to 6am the next morning, and then again overnight from 8pm on Thursday until 6am on Friday.

During this time traffic will be diverted through Tuam via Milltown and Galway Road.

The council has said that the works are being carried out at in order to minimise traffic disruption.
