Three days roadworks underway between Athenry and Tuam

Roadworks between Athenry and Tuam got underway today and are expected to continue for the rest of the working week.

Galway County Council is carrying out work on the R347 Athenry – Tuam road at Laragh.

The work started today and is expected to continue for three days until Friday, July 17.

Diversions will be in place for HGVs, and motorists are being advised to expect minor delays.

Roadworks are also being carried out for the next three days on a local road outside of Caltra.

Harrington Concrete & Quarries is carrying out resurfacing overlay works on the L-7406 Road at Eskerballycahill.

In order to facilitate these works, the road in question will be detoured during the hours of 8am & 6pm from Wednesday to Friday.

As a consequence, users of this road should allow additional time for their journeys.
