Bus Eireann is advising people to check online for disruptions to their services when planning journeys, due to COVID disruptions.

The national bus company said that they are experiencing “minor disruption” across all 17 of their depots caused by absences due to COVID.

However, the “vast majority” of bus services are continuing to be delivered as scheduled a statement from the company said.

“Bus Eireann’s team is working agilely on a daily basis to manage absences and to prioritise delivery of services which minimise customer disruption.”

“Bus Eireann has robust Covid-19 mitigation measures in place, including having hand sanitising units available on-board and in stations, having touchpoint cleaning during the day and deep cleaning of buses overnight, as well as reminders to leave windows open.”

The company is also reminding customers to wear masks while in bus stations, as well as for the duration of their journey.

People planning bus journeys should check their website and twitter feed for up to date information on service disruptions.
