Ballinasloe town road closure for two weeks in August

A section of road in Ballinasloe town will be closed to traffic for two weeks from the end of the month while works take place on the road and local water service.

Galway County Council has made an order closing a section of Society Street (R438) from east of Church Hill junction to the junction with Mcnevin Avenue.

The road closure will be in effect from 5:30pm on July 31 through to 5:30pm on August 14.

The closure is to facilitate both upgrades to the Ballinasloe Water Service as well as Street Enhancement works.

Motorists are being advised to divert via Dunlo Hill (R446), Harris Road, St Michael’s Square, Jubilee Street, Main Street, or Bridge Street.
