Traffic lights at Briarhill junction out after crash

Traffic lights at the Briarhill junction are likely to be out of action until Monday due to a crash.

The traffic lights were knocked out by a road traffic collision at the junction overnight.

Motorists are bring advised to use “extreme caution” around the junction on Saturday & Sunday by Galway city council, though traffic calming measure are in place.

Workers are on site assessing the damage to the infrastructure and effecting repairs.

However the full damage is not currently expected to be repaired until Monday.
