Traffic disruptions can be expected on the N65 this week as five days of roadworks get underway this morning.
Resurfacing overlay roadworks are being carried out on the N65 at Boleyroe, Gortymadded, Conorspark, and Killimor, and are expected to take five days to complete.
In order to facilitate these works a stop and go traffic management system will be in place between the hours of 7am and 7pm on the two stretches of road between Monday, August 12 and Friday, August 16.
“As a consequence users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys,” a statement from the county council said.
“Galway County Council would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works.”
The contract for these works has been awarded to Lagan Asphalt Limited.
