A teenage boy is in critical condition following a single vehicle car crash which occurred in east Galway on Saturday night.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a crash at Ballyedmond, Clonberne, Ballinasloe at around 10pm Saturday.
The front passenger in the car, a teenage boy, is in Beaumont Hospital Dublin for treatment of serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.
The three rear seat passengers, also teenage boys, were brought by ambulance to Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe as a precaution.
A technical examination was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area of Ballyedmond between 9:30pm and 10:30pm on Saturday 22nd August, 2026 are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
