Mayor of the City of Galway, Cllr. Eddie Hoare, has announced the date and venue for this year’s Mayoral Ball in aid of worthy charities.
The 2024 Galway City Mayoral Ball will take place on the evening of Friday, April 26 at The Galmont Hotel & Spa.
Beginning with a Drinks Reception at 6pm, guests will then enjoy a delectable formal dinner in the city centre hotel’s stunning Inis Mór Ballroom, before being whisked up into an elegant evening of dancing, live music and entertainment.
The five deserving charities which will benefit from the proceeds of this year’s Ball include: The National Breast Cancer Research Institute, Hopespace, The Galway Sick Kids Foundation, Blue Teapot Theatre Company and Rosabel’s Rooms.
Mayor Hoare said he is looking forward to a wonderful night on April 26th and is honoured to be able to support a number of very worthy charities and voluntary groups that positively impact the lives of so many people on a daily basis.

Less than a week after this the winners of the 2024 Galway City Mayor’s Awards will be announced on the evening of May 1.
The annual awards honour volunteer work by individual and organisations in communities across the city.
