Planning permission is being sought to open a new restaurant in Moycullen village.

A planning application has been made to the county council by Pierrot Investments to convert a vacant unit on the Clifden Road.

The application is for changing the permitted use of the unit from retail to restaurant.

This will comprise a commercial kitchen, stores and toilets facilities.

The floor plans for the proposed restaurant show seating for just under 70 people.

A decision on this planning application is due from Galway County Council by March 19 of this year.
