Co. Galway’s Michelle Casserly lands dream job as ALDI's Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officer

ALDI’s hunr for Ireland’s most talented chocolate connoisseurs has concluded, with Michelle Casserly from Oranmore securing the position as ALDI’s Chief Easter Egg Taster.

In early March, Aldi called for chocolate lovers across the nation to enter the competition to be in with the chance of landing the sweetest job in Ireland.

Applications flooded in from every corner of the country, with each applicant eager to showcase their passion for all things chocolate and confectionery.

Ultimately, Michelle’s knowledge and passion for sweet treats earned herself the coveted title.

Michelle Casserly, alongside two other lucky winners, Leo Doyle from Co. Wicklow and Amy Reynolds from Co. Tipperary, received a selection of Aldi Easter Eggs to sample, taste and review.

As part of their job description, the Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officer’s will provide their eggs-pertise to help the supermarket chain’s buying team confirm their 2025 Easter selection.

“I am delighted to have accepted this new role as Aldi Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officer,” said Michelle.

“Now, I’m looking forward to tasting these delicious eggs from Aldi, let this tasty challenge begin!”
