Ongoing repair works may cause water outages in Newcastle

Water outages are expected again in the Newcastle area of Galway City next week due to ongoing mains repair works.

Irish Water are carrying out mains repairs on the Upper Newcastle Road as part of the National Leaks Reduction Programme.

The works are scheduled to take place from Monday, November 2 through to Friday November 6, from 9am to 6pm.

While work is taking place, homes and businesses on the Upper Newcastle Road and surrounding areas may experience water outages or supply disruptions.

People affected by this are advised that it may take 2 – 3 hours after work is completed for their full water supply to be restored.

Updates on both situations can be found on Irish Water’s Supply and Service website page, or by contacting Irish Water’s twitter account @IWCare.
