A man received serious injuries in a traffic collision on the N59 outside of Clifden earlier today.
Gardaà and emergency services are currently at the scene of a single vehicle collision on the N59 main Clifden Road.
An Garda SÃochána said that one man was taken to University Hospital Galway to be treated for serious injuries.
The road is currently closed with diversions in place at Roundstone and Letterfrack.
Motorists in the area are advised to expect heavy traffic.
