One man was arrested in connection with the seizure of €43,000 worth of cannabis in Galway City last week.
Last Wednesday, June 17 Gardaí searched a home in Mervue as part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs.
Cannabis with an estimated street value of €43,000 and a quantity of cocaine were seized, along with drug paraphernalia.
A man (aged in his 40s) was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a station in the Garda North Western Region.
He was subsequently released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The seized substances will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
