More time is being sought for the completion of a 24 unit housing estate on the west side of Galway city on the Circular Road.

The housing estate consists of 24 detached, one and a half storey houses being built at Cuirt Cheirin on the Circular Road.

Planning permission for this development was first granted by Galway City Council on February 24 of 2015 and is now due to expire.

According to the developer work began on the project in January of 2016, and 22 of the units have already been completed.

Galway City Council is due to make a ruling on this planning application by February 19.
